Bridge is a fixed dental prosthesis fabricated in a laboratory. This technology enables faithful reconstruction of the shape of lost teeth, their position in the dental arch and their chewing function. It allows to maintain the dynamic balance of the entire dental arch.
When making a bridge, the teeth adjacent to the gap are used – they constitute the abutments for mounting the whole structure. To do this, their circumference must be reduced and the restoration consisting of two crowns connected with missing teeth must be fitted over them. Such a restoration of the gap can also be fitted on two implants.
Bite surfaces fully reflect own teeth. The bridge design is developed in such a way that the abutments can be safely loaded with additional chewing forces resulting from the attached teeth.
The bridge faithfully reproduces the shape and colour of the missing teeth.
